The installation consists of mechanical sound sculptures, each of which can be played
separately. A group of sound sculptures forms an arrangement of sound with its own
particular character. Through the use of a computer, exact motives of sound can be repeated
which turn into an accurately composed entity. This is being presented in the Sound-Objects-
Orchestra. Christof Schläger was born in 1958 in Poland and fled to Germany in 1968. Since
1982 he is active as a composer and creates sound sculptures. He has participated in numerous
exhibitions, concerts and festivals in Paris, New York, the Hague, Amsterdam, Cologne,
Essen, Warsaw, Cracow and Lyon. He has received numerous international prizes, amongst
them the "Golden Plotter" computer art award of the Gladbec Museum and the "Golden
Amadeus" award at the German Creative Music competition at the conservatory of Cologne.
